The Polytech Group actively engages in academic collaborations in both education and research. We seek to foster faculty-led scientific projects and student exchange programs in a variety of engineering fields, and thereby contribute to the global engagement of the academic community.

Using Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to promote international collaboration

MoUs are short-form agreements which provide the formal framework for cooperation. As such, they help lay the foundation for, and facilitate the execution of, exchanges between partners. These agreements allow the parties to encourage collaboration between their institutions and express their mutual desire to develop a structured, long-term partnership based on mutual recognition and excellence in training and research.

Beyond the many individual partnerships established by the Polytech Schools with foreign institutions around the world, the Polytech Group has developed several general partnerships:

  • Africa: African Institute of Informatics (IAI) Network
  • Belgium: University of Liege
  • China: Xidian University, Central South University, Ocean University of China
  • Hungary: University of Debrecen
  • Poland: Wrocław University of Science and Technology
  • Vietnam: University of Mines and Geology in Hanoi

Partnership with Xidian University in China

In the framework of the IDEFI AVOSTTI project, the Polytech Group has developed a specific training program with its partner Xidian University. Set up in 2013, this program is based on the recruitment of students in China and the start of their training on site for 3 years, with a classic training program in China supplemented by French language courses and specific modules in scientific and technical subjects taught by teachers from the Polytech schools. The courses focus on Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Science. Students who qualify to continue their studies in France then join a school of the Polytech group in the second year of the Engineering Cycle (4th year of higher education), in order to obtain the Polytech Engineering Degree. They also validate the Benke (Chinese diploma equivalent to 4 years of higher education).
